On the mend

Being a New Zealander and with rugby as our national sport it was only natural that was the sport I played. Imagine my surprise when at 35 I could no longer bend over to pick up the rugby ball or run around the paddock. Eventually doctors told me I had arthritis in both hips. Fourteen painful years followed and many dark  places were visited , to which I do not wish to return.  In  July 2010 and at the age of 49 I had my Left hip replaced and in August 2012 aged 52 my right hip replaced. Recovery 2nd time round was slower because I had rushed to get back to work the 1st time putting money over my health. In 2016 aged 55 I am walking everywhere but still feel the urge to give running another go but am in 2 minds about this. Will I undo all the work I have done previously?. Having read posts of people who have run again might just tempt me to give it a go. Thank you to everyone who posts on here it definitely makes me not feel alone. Have a great day everyone.
