Starting to run

66 slow runner Had right hip done 2018 at HSS… went well … recovered okay back to spinning quickly… Ran a bit but now when I try to run I get some groin pain… feels like the pounding is it.  any thoughts on what exercises to do to to strengthen of figure out how to handle impact.  TIA

      I also had pain in my groin area and it would then go down my leg. For me I found doing hip strengthening exercises helped me and for the last 2 1/2 years I’ve been running relatively pain free. Clams bridges, lunges, squats etc and also push-ups, planks for strength. I also have a sports massage once a month that I think helps.

      Thank you I will try… it’s so odd that I feel it on impact only
