Hi:

Its been about 5 years since I have ran, and I thought I would never would again. I found this site once I decided to get my hip replaced (scheduled for Christmas time). Reading your posts has me very optimistic and inspired. Keep ’em coming!

looking forward to becoming an “official” member in about 8 wks.

Hey: You won’t regret getting your hip replaced at all. I’m just over 1 year from replacement and the difference is remarkable. No pain, no limp, back golfing, swimming, biking, hiking, speed walking and yes, doing a little running. My gait sure is not what it used to be and I’m being very protective of my hip, but, I’m back doing what I love with no pain. Keep us posted!

You definitely won’t regret it. The old pain you feel now will be gone. But there will be some recovery time. You’ll forget about how bad the old pain was and the new pain (recovering surgery site) may kick in. Be patient and stay optimistic. Let us know how you progress. We are with you!

Thank you! I am really excited, scheduled for 12/21. I still do a cross fit type class and mountain bike ~4x/wk, however, I am in constant pain. I have lost a lot of range of motion, which makes me feel ridicules for certain exercises. Worst of all, I don’t sleep due to the pain.

Looking forward to getting back to my old self, and most of all, running! Goal is a Spartan Race on 6/9/18. Thanks for the support, and inspiration. Your posts really help.
