Navigating HipRunner discussion forum posts

Can anyone offer some instruction on how to navigate these discussion forums? I’m not computer/internet illiterate…there are several online discussion forums that I belong to and participate in. But the set-up of this one is so much different that I can’t figure out how to view the threads. On one page I can see all the responses, but not the original post. Another shows the OPs, but not the responses. There’s got to be a page that lists all the OP threads, which can be ‘clicked’ on and all the responses are presented. OR…could it be that I’m using a tablet (iPad), and the site is better suited for viewing with an actual computer???

No Dan you’re quite correct. I battle with this website too but wouldn’t dream of stepping on anyone’s toes. If it was set out like Facebook or whatsapp posts then I’d probably be on here more often. One minute I can find posts then the next minute sjoe, they’re gone !! Just have to make the most of what you have.

Good feedback from you all. Feel free to email me directly at hiprunner@hiprunner.com so we can discuss what you are looking for. My goal is to keep the posts current and fresh. Historical posts can be found by scrolling through each month or conducting an organic search. Each post has a link to read the whole post and additional comments. This site was built for you. Let’s make it better. No toes are being stepped on here.

      Tom,
I too want to be active in the forum discussions, and therefore would like for the forums/threads to be easier to navigate. Apparently I’m not the only one having difficulties. I think the organic searching you mentioned is pretty straightforward. It’s the active topics that seem all wrong to me. I go to what I think is the main page, and the first topic/comment that shows up is from December 17, 2011. On yet another page that ‘may be’ the main page is a post from 2014. And then when I do finally happen upon a list of topics/discussions/threads…I’ll click on it but only the responses are there, but not the original post. Personally, what I’d like to see, like other discussions forums, is an easy-to-find list of topic/discussions/thread, and when you click on a particular one it includes the original post, AND ALL of the responses in chronological order.

I have to agree with the original poster. I have never seen such a combination of great content and great difficulty getting to that content!

Hey there! Per Carolyn’s recommendations, I have modified the link colors to make them stand out a bit more, hopefully that will help you navigate teh site better.

      Tom,

I am not seeing any difference in colors. That is IF i’m on the correct page of the website/forums. What I’m seeing looks like a combination of responses to all active threads, but you can’t tell which thread each response goes with, and there aren’t any original post present.

Interesting. Could you shoot me a screen print? Email it to hiprunner@hiprunner.com.
      Thanks.

Tom — I just sent you an email with the request screen shot attached. Also included are some other comments, and quirks that I’ve noticed. Let me know what you think. — Dan

Hi everybody, thanks for the comments. Tom and I are looking at the site and I’m helping make some changes. Glad to see there are so many caring fans out there!
