My journey as a hipster!

New York Marathon or bust!

After three rough surgery’s I survived a heart attack, both hips replaced, I am finally healthy! I find my hard work and patience has been well worth it. I’m not going to say it was a piece of cake, I had to work hard. I could’ve quit training and used my surgery’s as an excuse, but I wasn’t going to let that happen. I’m one of those who loves to run, workout and bike. I find it most important to my health. I enjoy talking with all the runners and walkers I meet on the trail. It’s like medicine for my soul. As I begin training for the New York marathon, long runs, weightlifting, and speed training, I’ll do it all with a smile on my face. I’m thankful for another chance in my life to run a marathon. I am especially looking forward to the New York marathon. I love New York. I had made a promise to myself, if I got healthy I would put my name in the lottery. Which I did and happily I was picked!! I’m not a speedster, but I can run pretty good with my new hips. I keep myself in shape so I know I’ll do just fine. I’m so thankful to God for giving me the opportunity and strength to continue on my journey!
