The HipRunner Mantra You don't stop playing because you grow old.....you grow old because you stop playing...
Had left THR three years ago. Started having pain a few months ago not in the hip joint, but oblique & lower back on the left side. Could it be related to my hip?

Hi! It’s possible that the hip could be the cause. If it is not strong enough, other parts of the body will overcompensate. Your best bet is to visit with a PT to determine if there is some sort of imbalance causing the pain. Best wishes to you and your running pursuits! Hopefully you will find a resolution!
I have had that same pain– my PT thinks it is my SI Joint. I have started wearing an SI Joint belt when running & playing tennis & it seems to help. I have an excellent massage therapist as well who has to realign my SI Joint almost every time I go to see her. The belt is supposed to help my body stay aligned over time- I am hoping tjis works! My hip replacement surgery was tjis past July– I am guessing my si joint issues are related to my body compensating for my bum hip. Good luck!
