Injured hip in car accident 23 years ago and despite best efforts, I could no longer delay the inevitable and had operation on Jan 16, 2018. BTW: accident was caused by driver with multiple DUIs and a 0.28% BAC!!! at time of crash. This is only a relevant point in that I used the circumstances of my injury to motivate me, back then and now, to reach my full potential and enjoy life, of which, athletics is a big part.
