Glad you are getting back into running. Plenty of advice in previous threads if you search for them. My suggestion is to be able to consistently walk 6 to 8 miles before attempting to run. When you do start take it ez with alternating run/walks. 1 minute runs, 5 minute walks got me started and over time went to 5 minute runs / 1 minute walks for a few miles and then started adding intervals until I was back to distances up to 8 miles. These days one year post op I alternate days of running and biking. My runs are 8 to 10 miles and bikes are 60 to 90 minutes on my indoor trainer.
