Be patient with your body! While I’m not familiar with your particular procedure, I do know that it takes time for the body to heal and adapt. I never started running again until 9 months after my THR. Even then I had to go very slow and easy. The strength difference after surgery is profound and takes time and effort to balance with the other hip. I believe the healing continues well after even a year or more. Be patient and listen to your body. Your youth will be a huge benefit in your healing and regaining your strength but the healing can’t be rushed. It will never be exactly what it was before the injury. That’s not a bad thing, but it is different. With time and work I’m certain you can still accomplish amazing things.
