I am very sorry to hear that you are experiencing so much pain. Jenny is right. Don’t compare. Everyone is different in regards to how they handle pain. It’s easy for me to say this because I am not in your shoes, but IT ….. WILL ….. GET …. BETTER! Your hip pain has been replaced by recovery pain. Once you’re recovered….you’ll (hopefully) be pain free. These feel like dark days right now, but stay optimistic. Look ahead to a few months from now, when the surgery site is finally on its way to healing and the pain your are feeling right now is long gone. Think about what running will be like in a year or so. Your initial stab at running may surprise you. It will feel different, especially while that hip is still healing. For me….I was at about 18 months before my runs started to feel “kinda” normal. Hang in there Debra. Keep us posted and get some rest!
