When I first learned that my hip was arthritic, I moved to Mountain Biking. It didn’t work for me. Running is so good because you can throw on your gear and head out the door. With Mountain biking, I was losing fitness and gaining weight. So I went back to running and surprisingly, I was able to continue for another 14 years before it was time for the THR. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Running is and always has been an important quality of my life. I knew I wanted to run again after my THR. 8 years later, I am still running.
