I’m not a Michigan Runner, but I do have a hip replacement and I am 54 years old. Stuart I had my left hip replaced in January of 2012. In 2016, I ran the Grand Canyon (Rim to Rim). Then in 2018, I got a partial knee replacement (due to a basketball injury). It is 2020, and I am planning for my first 50K run on March 21 in Bellingham Washington (The Chuckanut). The sky is the limit if you believe in yourself and you listen to your body. Don’t push too soon. Eventually, you’ll be doing great things! Stay optimistic!
