Hi Alex,
The pain from the bad hip is most likely gone, but now it is the pain from the surgery site that your dad is most likely feeling. Yes, I am sure we all felt the pain to some degree. However, even the recovery pain didn’t keep me from doing PT. So if it seems too severe, he should probably go in and get it checked out.
