Femoral Osteotomy-Recovery Update

I haven’t been good with keeping up with updates. Had femoral osteotomy on July 10, 2015 after my original ORIF didn’t take. I am happy to say I was able to run on a treadmill for the first time in about a year-and-a-half this past week! Was only 2 minute intervals for a total of 3 times, but felt good.

Working with PT has gotten me to focus on the importance of core strength and stability, which is something I neglected. If there is something that could be considered universal for runners it would be core strength. That is my editorial comment for the day.

Thank you for all the positive and motivating posts here. It’s been a source of encouragement through this process.
