      Hi hip runners, I am after a smart watch (or something similar) that will accurately record distances run. The one I purchased is inaccurate, so no go

      Garmin Forerunner 55 sounds ideal, about £150, or its predecessor 45 for around £100. Much better specs on the new version. Not sure how any GPS watch can be that inaccurate – what did you buy? All of my Garmins have been accurate enough for running.

      Thanks Pete – I am pleased you have endorsed the Garmin Forerunner as I have just ordered the “30”.
      The previous one I got was “Sports Watch Activity Tracker” – it was cheap and useless.
      Fingers crossed the new one will do the trick.

      I too use a Garmin Forerunner 935. As a multi-sport athlete it has pretty much everything I need.
