The HipRunner Mantra
You don't stop playing because you grow old.....you grow old because you stop playing...

Hi,
Id like to hear from members about their experiences of running after recovery.
I had my hip replaced in April of this year and I have steadily being buliding up distance and pace.
I did a parkrun 5k on Saturday in 30 mins and I am comfortably doing 10k training runs. So much so that I have registered for Dingle Full and the Dublin Marathon in September and October 2020.
I am running much more comfortably than pre operation and enjoying it again.
I can feel the hip where I was operated but no barrier or impedement to running.
I have started to read ChiMarathon by Danny Dryer and I find it inspiring and pragmatic.
Anyone in similar circumstances ?
Any comments?
