My Name is Daryl, born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. I spent 30 years in the military serving our great nation. That is where my running really began at the age of 24. Since retirement, I still continued to run which I love. Numerous middle distances, half marathons, 14 marathons, My best time is 3:40. My goal is to still do Boston, but first I have a hip replacement scheduled for the 12th of June 2017. Currently I am a "Special Education Teacher (Autistic) students teaching social communication skills, at Victory Lakes Intermediate School. I also coach Football, Boys Cross Country and Track & Field. As you can see I am busy but I really love what I do. I am currently still working out swimming two days and lifting weights light weight but 12 to 15 reps. Not really a good swimmer but I am trying, I have a buoy, fins and a kick board, I lift weights two days a week also, not heavy weights just a lot of reps 10 to 12.I would love to hear other runners who have the surgery, I am about to have. That way I can prepare before and after. My plan is to continue running hopefully. I want to know you runners think? Waiting your feedback. Daryl,
