I began running on the original KENNETH COOPER AEROBICS program at age 20 in the summer of 2016. I began keeping log book on 15 September 1978, and from then through 14 April 2016, I have logged a total distance of 33,296 miles and won several age group trophies/medals over the years. On 15 April 2016, while on an overnight stay in Springfield, Illinois, I broke my right hip in a fall in the shower at a motel. I had total hip replacement on 17 April 2016, but the hip went out of socket twice beginning on 16 May 2016, and I had to have a HIP REVISION SURGERY on 15 June 2016. I am now eight weeks and one day past that second surgery and still taking outpatient therapy. I am doing well, and I CAN'T BEAR THE THOUGHT OF NEVER RUNNING AGAIN. I hope you can encourage me to return to running ASAP. If our military men and women can run in the Paralympics, I don't see why that is not a reasonable goal to set for myself, and I hope you can help me do so in time.--Still Hoping to Run for Jesus for a Long Time Yet, The Rev. R. David ("Pastor Dave") Reynolds, HEBREWS 12:1-3
