I live 6 months in Durban S Africa and 6 months in Alicante Spain. I have been road running for 26 years,marathons and Ultras. My husband was a long distance runner but cycles more these days - it's kinder for his knees. I had my first hip replacement in 2012 and my second one in 2014. I have slowly got back on the road doing about 10km a day. I found it easier after the second hip replacement and my distance has increased but only up to half marathon stage so far. I do get very frustrated because the speed is not there but then I have to remember that I'm also older. I'd rather wear out than rust out though.
