Hi. I had a THR Oct 8, 2014. Although I have never been a fast runner, I ran. But the doc told me no more running ever because it would lead to a replacement of the replacement. (I am 54) I was excited and encouraged to find this site! Since returning to work, I have noticed some mid-thigh pains sometimes and I think I have narrowed that down to carry heavier loads which may cause me to lean. Has anyone else had this paid? I recently announced that I would walk a half if I could not run, but it is getting to be great weather and I feel the call to run. Since I know my doctor will not agree to me running, is there a better time to start after THR? 6 months?
Oh, I have been told that my left hip needs to be done….joy.
