Hi, I am Bernard, a Lecturer from the University of Essex, United Kingdom. I am planning for a research grant on the topic of "high-impact activities after knee and hip replacement surgeries". Returning to high-impact activities after joint replacements are often discouraged by surgeons and physios, but yet, some people do return. I am planning a research project looking into such high-impact activities. I am looking for people in the UK, who received a hip/knee replacement and successfully returned to high-impact sports (e.g. running, jumping, dancing, tennis, etc). Because such participants may not be easy to find, I want to budget money to fund people in the UK to come to our lab to be studied.
