I'm a 57-year-old female. I broke my right femoral neck in a bicycle accident in May 2020 and had ORIF surgery; hardware was removed in October. I have now developed severe post-traumatic osteoarthritis and a THR is recommended. I've been running for over 40 years. I cut back on my miles about a decade ago and added a lot of cross training after a series of injuries, then began competing in sprint triathlons which I loved. I have been mostly sidelined since last May and a now told only "light jogging" would be permissible with a THR, no racing. I'm scared and sad and tired of limping around my house. I'm happy to have found your site.
