I have been a mostly non competitive runner for 35 years. I came into running from amateur boxing, which I engaged in until I was 35 years old. During almost all my running years I cross-trained with resistance training and boxing training. In October of 2019 I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both hips, with the left being worse than the right. After 3 rounds of cortisone my body told me the left hip had to be replaced. As I am sure most all hip replacement patients are told, I won't be able to run anymore. I am inspired by what I have seen on this site and I am determined to resume running after I recover.
