Hi! I was finally diagnosed with a hip deformation last year which meant my only option was a total hip replacement as the damage was so bad. I had my total left hip op in July and am 16 weeks down tomorrow! I ran pre-op with my longest distance being the marathon; the last one was in November 2016. I also did lots of yoga and pilates as well as some road cycling. I went back to running about five weeks ago, running a kilometre on the treadmill. I’ve been taking it carefully and on Sunday of last week I got up to 5km in my second run outdoors!! It’s slow but feels ok. I have a slight ache but nothing more, all amazing!
