Had Leggs-Perthes disease as a child. Was in a wheelchair from age 5-10. Started running seriously in my mid 30's: finished 6 full marathons, about 25 halfs plus numerous adventure races. Have been serving in the U.s. Military for 28 years (10 1/2 in the Air Force as a Firefighter and 18 in the Navy as a Chaplain. Running is a gift and I can't wait to get back to running
