I'm 61 years old and I've been an avid runner since 1985 and have run too many to count half marathons and about 75 marathons in my life including LA and Chicago after my diagnosis of rt hip OA in 2013 . I've done 6 half marathons in this past year...managing by jog walking and controlling my pain with medications. I'm much slower but I finish and I still love it!! However, I want to get off my medications and will get an anterior right hip replacement at the end of June and really hope to get back to my jog walking when I can. My physician would rather I not run after my surgery but I hope that by joining this club, I can get inspiration and reports that running is possible after surgery, although I do intend to still do jog-walking intervals and not get back to racing.
