In 2017 before this op I had breast cancer and the chemo seems to have latched onto some osteoarthritis in my right hip and that in turn wore away my cartilage, leaving me no choice but to have a THR. I had started running from nothing andwas a complete non-exercising person in 2011 and have completed 21 marathons, 3 50Ks and a 50 miler as well as a number of other shorter events since then. I am an England Athletics coach in Running Fitness .

Hello everyone, I had my THR last year (Sept 25th 2017) and yesterday managed a quarter of a mile run at 12:30 pace – utterly thrilled as it was my first attempt and means the only way is up from here!! Glad to know you all.… (Click Here to View Full Post and Comments)
