Greetings fellow runners. I new to the board and appreciate all the support and perspective you folks have provided thus far. I’m a 48 yr old masters runner scheduled for a January hip replacement. I competed as a masters track athlete into my forties, had some great success but had to pull back the last few years due to hip pain. I’m looking forward to getting back to some reasonable (modified) level of running. Two big questions:
- Does anyone have a template for a rehab routine that you can recommend, including exercises and timetable (with the full understanding that everyone is different)?
- I read quite a bit here about distance runners and marathoners but little about track folks. I’m a sprinter/middle distance runner and have yet to hear about those who have returned to such competition after hip replacement
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.… (Click Here to View Full Post and Comments)
