I have run all my life to stay in shape to play soccer. I began running marathons in 2008 and have run 8. Last year while training for the Portland Marathon I tore my labrum in my right hip. Long story short it lead to several doctors until my search lead me to a hip resurfacing surgery with Dr Thomas Gross in South Carolina. I am heading down there tomorrow for surgery on Wednesday. I have been told I will get back to running after 6 months and would love to talk to others in this forum who have had to come back from this injury.

I am one year post op and still am having range of motion issues from my hip resurfacing surgery.  I can run a 1/2 marathon but cannot move into certain yoga positions and can barely sit Indian style.  Does anyone have advice for getting this range of motion back?… (Click Here to View Full Post and Comments)
