Hi all, I had anterior right thr on March 23, this year. Doctor says my running days are over. Yeah, gonna not follow that one. I’m 54 and was doing the occasional slow half marathon before I got injured Nov of 2015. I would like to know when is a good length of time before I attempt running. I’m up to about 8000 steps a day with a 2 mile walk thrown in that. I’d like to get up to 10,000 steps consistently before I attempt jogging. I’d like to get to the point of running 5K’s, or doing 3 mile runs. Suggestions?… (Click Here to View Full Post and Comments)

I was a so so runner of half marathons before hip arthritis pain made me stop. My best half was when I was 16, got 3rd in my age group (out of 3). Running is needed for peace of mind, and to help keep the weight off.
