3 week post hip replacement, been real happy so far. Rode bike today for first time, just 3 miles. Went real well. I walk my block about a mile and a quarter twice a day and that is going well. My main issue is waking up at around 2 to 3 am with muscle pain, found out if I get up then and do my PT then walk up my driveway which is about 200’ one way I can go back to bed and sleep a couple more hours. I just take Advil and alternate Tylenol. I can actually ride mower and work some in yard now. Thing are looking up, hopefully I can get in pool this week.

I do not have the resume of most the runners on this site. I have been active from early on, Baseball, Tennis, Biking, Hiking, Horses, Dirt Bikes, ETC. I picked up running officially probably in 2012 to run with my Wife & Daughter. I have completed a Warrior Dash, Terra Adventure Race Sprint, A few 5ks, a sprint tri, and Woodlands 1/2 Marathon, 2 Houston 1/2 marathons, 2 Jail Break 1/2 Marathons to top of Fred Hartman Bridge. Then the stiffness started. After talking to 3 different doctors hoping for a different diagnosis the pain hit playing Tennis with Grandson and I am going in next Thursday for my left THR. This site has helped tremendously so far Thanks! Wish me luck. Grumpy

My wife is training for Houston 1/2 and it is a bummer watching her leave and I am not running with her. Will be back soon!… (Click Here to View Full Post and Comments)
